A long time ago, when I was 17yrs old (I'm 33yrs old now), I started doing genealogy on the Stetson and Mitiguy Surname. I didn't know at the time that I was actually going to get so deeply involved in genealogy since the only reason I was doing it was to help someone to look for more information on their mother (Sarah (Mitiguy) Stetson) since she had died when he was only 7 yrs. old.

Well, after going to the town clerks office in Berkshire Ctr., Vermont and found a ton of information on the Stetson surname and as soon as that had happened, I was hooked. I didn't know that genealogy could be so interesting and fun. I used to go up to the Berkshire Ctr., Vermont cemetary to clean stones and to town clerks offices all around Vermont. I even went to Manchester, New Hampshire to research the "Mitiguy" surname since it had originated in Canada and there was a small church in Manchester that had people from across the globe who went there to do Canadian genealogy.

So here I am, 16 yrs. later and I am still heavily into genealogy. I haven't made too much progress with the Mitiugy surname, but alot of progress with the Stetson name. I just got a break when someone had emailed me and said that the "Mitiguy" name had been shortened a long time ago from "Metayer St. Onge" so, I'm pretty excited about that.

O.K., this part of my story is important: I believe that genealogy should be given to the public for free. So, please don't sell this information to no one since I am trying to keep things "free for all".

Well, enjoy my site, the best way you know how and I'll be adding to it slowly since I have some things here that prevent me from getting it up speedily. Anyways, I do have alot of stuff so, I hope I can help everyone and anyone by publishing this information. I might run out of room and have it overflow on a couple sites, but.....I'll work it out as I go.....
